Referees officiating in LaLiga will begin conducting post-match interviews starting this weekend. The new protocol is set to commence during the 11th round of the current season.
This change stems from a formal agreement established between the Spanish league, the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and the referee union, AESAF. The primary goal of the initiative is to enhance transparency regarding officiating decisions and improve the quality of television broadcasts.
Access to the officials will be regulated. Broadcasters holding official rights for the competition, specifically DAZN and Movistar+, are permitted to interview one referee per round following the conclusion of their respective matches.
