- The STJ rejected an appeal filed by Flamengo and Fluminense.
- The Copa Sudamericana semifinal is scheduled for October 20.
Vasco da Gama has been granted the right to host their Copa Sudamericana semifinal match against Boca Juniors at the Maracanã stadium. This follows a ruling by the Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ), which upheld a previous decision by the Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ) in favor of the club.
The legal dispute between Vasco and the Fla-Flu consortium had been ongoing for nearly a month. By rejecting the appeal from Flamengo and Fluminense, the court has cleared the way for Pedro Emanuel’s team to play at the venue on October 20.
