- Corinthians arrive in Rio with five players sidelined due to injuries.
Vasco and Corinthians face off this Saturday at 18:30 (Brasília time) at São Januário for the 32nd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The match represents a direct battle against relegation, as the two clubs sit just outside the danger zone; Vasco currently holds 15th place with 35 points, while Corinthians follows with 33.
For the hosts, Colidio and Andrés Gómez are set to return to the lineup after missing the recent Copa Sudamericana semifinal. Meanwhile, Corinthians arrived in Rio de Janeiro with five absences. The squad will be without Memphis Depay, who has a muscle edema, and Gabriel Paulista, sidelined with an adductor strain. Alex Santana, André Carrillo, and Vitinho are also unavailable for the visitors.
The historical record at São Januário favors the visitors; since 2006, Corinthians has secured six wins in 14 matches at the venue, compared to three for Vasco and five draws. Corinthians enters the match looking to recover from a streak of four consecutive away defeats.
