Botafogo is dealing with significant midfield instability during the final stretch of the Brasileirão. Manager Tite has yet to establish a reliable rotation, as the team battles to avoid relegation with only five games left in the season.
During Wednesday's 2-1 defeat to Remo, Tite was forced into major tactical adjustments. Danilo was sidelined with muscle discomfort, and Montoro was also unavailable. Cristian Medina, who arrived as a marquee signing in February, started in the playmaker role but failed to make a meaningful impact on the match.
The ongoing struggles in the center of the pitch have left the coaching staff searching for answers as the club faces a critical point in their campaign.
