I.League President Director Ferry Paulus confirmed that the PSSI Disciplinary Committee has issued three sanctions against Persija Jakarta. The penalties follow incidents of fan unrest during a Super League 2026/2027 match against Persita.
Separately, Vasco suffered a 3-1 defeat to Boca Juniors at the Maracanã in front of over 60,000 spectators, resulting in their elimination. Despite holding a 1-0 lead from the first leg in Buenos Aires, where they played with ten men, the team struggled to manage the pressure of the return fixture.
Boca Juniors midfielder Leandro Paredes, who recently returned from a grade 2 hamstring injury, took to Instagram to taunt the Brazilian side. Paredes also criticized Thiago Mendes, claiming the player showed a lack of respect toward his team during the encounter.
