  • Palmeiras secured their spot in the Copa Libertadores final after defeating Fluminense.
  • The final is scheduled for November 28 in Montevideo.
  • Flamengo and Estudiantes compete for the final spot at the Maracanã.

Palmeiras have confirmed their place in the Copa Libertadores final, which is set to take place on November 28 in Montevideo. The team, managed by Abel Ferreira, advanced following a dramatic penalty shootout victory against Fluminense, despite suffering a 1-0 defeat in the match itself.

This marks the eighth time Palmeiras have reached the final of the continental competition, with four of those appearances occurring within the last seven editions under Ferreira's leadership.

The identity of their opponent will be determined this Thursday at the Maracanã, where Flamengo and Estudiantes face off in the second semifinal. Following a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Argentina, a win for either side will secure a place in the final. Should the match end in another draw, the finalist will be decided by a penalty shootout.
