The Palmeiras Deliberative Council has officially suspended member José Corona Neto for a period of nine months. The disciplinary action stems from a heated exchange between Corona Neto and club president Leila Pereira during a meeting held late last year.
The decision was finalized following the approval of a report submitted by an investigative committee. During the formal vote, 121 members supported the suspension, while 42 voted against it and 33 abstained. The council determined that Corona Neto’s conduct during the December meeting was inappropriate.
