Nacional beats Sporting Braga 1-0 as visitors' crisis deepens
- Nacional ends a seven-game winless streak with a home victory.
- Sporting Braga suffers its third consecutive Primeira Liga defeat.
- The result marks Braga's worst league run of the current decade.
Sporting Braga’s struggles continued with a 1-0 loss to Nacional at the Choupana, marking their third consecutive defeat in the Primeira Liga. This sequence represents the club's poorest league form of the decade and the seventh time such a negative cycle has occurred under the presidency of António Salvador. The only worse run recorded was five straight losses during the 2013/14 campaign.
The victory allowed Nacional to end a seven-match winless period. After the match, Braga coach Franclim Carvalho expressed his frustration with both the performance and the result, stating that the display did not represent the team's true character.
Right-back Victor Gómez also voiced his disappointment regarding the loss. He remarked that the squad cannot afford to give away goals and points in such a manner or fail to uphold the standards expected of Sporting Braga.
