Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has set aside past disagreements to praise Jose Mourinho following a 2-1 victory at the Camp Nou. Casillas highlighted the effective planning behind the performance in the latest El Clasico.
Mourinho’s behavior on the touchline drew comparisons to his time in England, as he celebrated with a knee slide similar to the one he performed after a Didier Drogba goal for Chelsea at the same venue in 2006.
The manager also expressed satisfaction with the performance of Andriy Lunin, who was called upon to replace the injured Thibaut Courtois. Mourinho noted that players train to compete on the pitch rather than occupy a spot on the bench, commending the substitute goalkeeper for his contribution.
