The Indonesian national futsal team faced a difficult start in the semifinals of the 2026 Copa das Nacoes de Futsal. During their match against Cape Verde, the Garuda squad went into the halftime break trailing 2-0. Despite their efforts to narrow the gap, they remained behind after the first period of play.
In the Dutch league, Heerenveen recorded a convincing 4-0 win over Excelsior. However, defender Mees Hilgers did not feature in the match. Although he has been a regular member of the matchday squad since joining the club in August 2026, his professional debut for the team has yet to take place.
