  • Cuiabá has publicly demanded R$18.6 million from Santos concerning the transfer of defender Joaquim.
  • The club from Mato Grosso also confirmed settling a FIFA fine for approximately R$5.5 million in the Petit case.
  • In Portugal, Boavista's insolvency administrator has accused the club's board of attempting to evade responsibilities.

Brazilian club Cuiabá has issued an official statement responding to comments from Santos president Marcelo Teixeira, while simultaneously demanding an R$18.6 million payment from the São Paulo-based club. This debt is linked to the negotiation involving defender Joaquim. Cuiabá also confirmed that it has resolved a penalty of approximately R$5.5 million, which was imposed by FIFA in relation to the Petit case. The club's president attributed its own financial penalties, such as the one for former coach Petit, to outstanding payments from larger clubs. The total amount owed to Cuiabá by other clubs for player acquisitions reportedly reaches R$40 million.

Separately, in Portugal, Clarisse Barros, the insolvency administrator for Boavista, has taken a stance by accusing the club's board of directors. Barros alleges that the Boavista board is attempting to divert its responsibilities concerning the club's financial situation.
