Fluminense faces a decisive match against Palmeiras this Wednesday in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinal. Club captain Thiago Silva, who has expressed reservations about playing on synthetic surfaces, is expected to set aside his preference to aid the team's pursuit of a spot in the final.

Meanwhile, midfielder Martinelli is making progress in his recovery from a left knee injury sustained during the first leg. On Monday morning, he participated in individual ball work, separate from the main squad, as he pushes to be available for the upcoming clash.

CONMEBOL has confirmed the officiating team for the match, selecting Esteban Ostojich as the referee. Ostojich previously gained attention for an unusual interaction with forward Hulk during his time with Atlético-MG.
