  • Flaco López reaches a career-best scoring form for Palmeiras.

Fluminense coach Marcão is weighing tactical adjustments for the return leg of the Copa Libertadores against Palmeiras, scheduled for next Wednesday at Nubank Parque. The Rio de Janeiro side suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first leg at the Maracanã, where they enjoyed possession and pressed Abel Ferreira's team but struggled to break down the defence and create clear scoring chances.

Fluminense's hopes of turning the tie around remain alive thanks to young academy forward Wesley Natã, who scored during stoppage time. Meanwhile, midfielder Martinelli is a doubt for the match and will be re-evaluated on Thursday after leaving the previous game with right knee pain.

On the opposing side, Palmeiras forward Flaco López is enjoying the most prolific season of his career. According to Gato Mestre data, he has reached 32 direct goal involvements with 23 goals and nine assists. This tally accounts for nearly a third of all Palmeiras goals this year, as the club recently surpassed the milestone of 100 goals.
