Brazilian club Flamengo is reportedly pursuing a potential spot in the Copa Libertadores final. This attempt is connected to the registration of defender Marcos Rojo, who needed specific authorization from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to be eligible for the tournament. A particular document, which reportedly generated confusion, is understood to be the basis for Flamengo's continued confidence in their claim for a final berth.
Officials from Estudiantes have publicly addressed Flamengo's efforts. Juan Sebastián Verón, the president of Estudiantes, commented on the situation, asserting that his club faces "no risk of not going to the final." Furthermore, Juan Martín Ongay, the finance secretary for Estudiantes, responded to remarks made by Flamengo coach Leonardo Jardim concerning the judicial dispute.
