  • Grêmio's victory over Coritiba pushes them ahead of Corinthians.
  • The club must pay damages to a former youth player.

Corinthians has slipped to 18th place in the Campeonato Brasileiro following Grêmio's victory over Coritiba. This result caused Corinthians to drop one position within the relegation zone, while Grêmio reached 34 points after Martin Braithwaite scored the winning goal in the 91st minute.

Separately, a labor court has ordered Corinthians to pay R$ 40,000 in moral damages to Reginaldo Borim. The 19-year-old player sued the club after it withdrew a contract offer amid controversy regarding his background as a goalkeeper. Judge Fernanda Cavalcante Fon Soares denied most of the player's claims, resulting in a compensation amount significantly lower than what was originally sought.
