The 31st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro brings a pivotal set of fixtures. League leaders Flamengo face a test against Bahia, while second-placed Palmeiras travel to face Athletico-PR. Both clubs must manage their energy levels as they prepare for the return legs of the Copa Libertadores semifinals.
In Belo Horizonte, Atlético-MG will host Coritiba at the Arena MRV on Saturday at 18:30 (Brasilia time). The match is expected to be an open affair, as both sides have recorded the fewest defensive actions in the league. Simultaneously, São Paulo aims to build on their recent victory over Vitória when they host Vasco at the Morumbis at 21:00 (Brasilia time).
Elsewhere, Botafogo will look to distance themselves from the relegation zone as they host bottom-placed Chapecoense, despite a dip in home form during the second half of the season. Grêmio also enters their match against Cruzeiro as the league's most efficient home attack and most resilient defensive side.
