São Paulo claimed a 1-0 victory over Vasco da Gama at the Morumbis on Saturday. After struggling in the first half due to tactical decisions by manager Dorival Júnior, the hosts improved significantly after the break. Meanwhile, Vasco failed to score due to technical errors and fatigue, raising concerns for Pedro Emanuel's side in the league standings.

Fluminense is set to host Santos this Sunday at the Maracanã for the 31st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The team is currently balancing league play with their upcoming Libertadores semifinal second leg, following a 2-1 loss in the first match and a recent defeat in the classic against Flamengo.
